So I might continue using it using the bridge 32->64! I tried the other alternatives, but I have complex interfaces, or software that can do complex things when I just need one basic thing, but done well. So ok, it seems there is no 64bits replacement that would be as good in quality and at the same time. Should i be looking at something besides the RAM being used? Thanks for all your answers. Am I even looking at the right thing here? There has to be something simple that I'm missing. In other words, it seems that once it's loaded, the sampler doesn't let go of the RAM, so loading another SF will then be added to the RAM used, (then unused) by the previous file. If I delete the performance, the RAM remains the same, and does not return to 111MB. If i load a a 34.6MB piano soundfont, the RAM then goes to 182MB. When I open TX16Wx, it then goes to 111MB. When I open Reaper and look at the Performance meter, it reports 99MB of RAM being used. Sorry for the long post, and thank you! EDIT: One thing I did just discover. Does anyone know enough about this sampler to tell me if there's something I have set incorrectly, or offer some insight as to what I can try to make it perform better? I do like the potential of this thing, but I can't figure out why it cripples my system so bad. I've tried a couple of the drum kits that Sulieman had put together, and most of the time, I can't play more than a few notes before the thing starts to bog down, distorts, and then the audio slows way down, eventually stopping altogether. I loaded the Squidfont orchestral sfz, which is only 62MB, yet my performance meter is reporting 2725MB of RAM used, and clicking on the built in keyboard quickly pushes my CPU usage over 25%, and the audio becomes distorted. I don't know if there's a setting I'm missing, or what the issue is, but this sampler is unusable for me, for whatever reason. Just loading it and clicking around on the sampler's built-in keyboard causes my CPU usage to shoot to over 50%, and it says I'm using almost 3GB of RAM. I loaded the Salamander Grand Piano soundfont.
No matter what I load into this sampler, it kills my computer.Īutocad 2006 Free Download For Windows 7 64 Bit With Crackers there. I record in Reaper at 48k, 24-bit, and really have no problems with anything else that I need to do. I have my default buffer size set to 128, default bit depth is 24.
